Open the lid by removing 4 screws. You will see it.

Please define "not accurate". It's almost impossible to help remotely from "does not work" description.

software RPM reading is not correct, ideal @ 1200 or1500 while the gauge is 500 when i hit the gas the software rpm jumps to 20000.. power increase is noticable i cant wait to get EBC installed

Are you sure you tapped to right RPM wire? If so disconnect and redo the connection.

How did you check the connection? Do you have the oscilloscope to look at the noise and ripple? Redo the connection.

the supplied connector does not secure well very cheap quality.. it got lose after few opens and closes..
is it recommended to connect green directly to white with red stripe?

It appears correct. Only way to tell if you have actually bitten the wire is to hook up to the zchip with the db9 cable and rev the engine to insure the tach is moving.

thats my problem, RPM in software is not correct, software RPM idle @ 1250 to 1500.. when i rev it goes to 800 then jumpes to 20000....

Have you tried another coil wire?
Unplug the map connectros and clean them nicely with alcohol.

...or check continuity with a dvm between grn & wht/red...

By what is he describing it seams more like intermittent connection so dvm may not show the problem. Moving the cables at the connector may help so you can hear intermittent beeps. In most cases redoing the connections is the best bet, chances are someone gets it right. Intermittent connections without a scope are hard to diagnose.
