Here are some initial results with the MBC and ZChip. I'll put some graphs up later when I'm done.

Stock + WORKS drop-in: peak hp=243, tq=261

WORKS drop-in + ZChip (base tune): peak hp=242, tq=265 <== TTP said the tune would have no effect without the MBC because the tune was made for that

WORKS drop-in + ZChip (base tune) + MBC at +1.5 psi: peak hp=257, tq=259

WORKS drop-in + ZChip (my tune) + MBC at +2.5 psi: peak hp=269, tq=276

All pulls in 3rd at 3-8 degrees C, 5000ft.

My hp is peaking too early (6200rpm) because I haven't leaned out the AFRs past then yet (still working on the tune). My AFRs are fairly steady until then at 11.2. My boost peaks briefly at 24psi at 3900rpm. It holds around 20-21psi thru 4300-5800 and then starts tapering linearly to 16psi at 7200rpm.

I am of the opinion that my tune is very conservative. The thing I noticed the most is that I have broadened the power band a lot. 0-60 acceleration is *much* improved. The acceleration is immensely smooth.

I'm hoping for a higher peak hp when I tune again tomorrow. However, I think what is more important is having power across a wider range of rpms. Does my tune sound too conservative?

BTW, is there a way to calculate what AFRs I should aim for at this altitude with this engine, or is it a case of going leaner until the ECU pulls timing or I see knock? I can't yet log knock so I'm looking for signs of timing being pulled. Can the 4B11 run leaner mixtures (i.e. closer to 12.5) more safely than the 4G63 or not?

Do the pulls in 4th gear. The ZChip and all of our tuning is based on the a target of 1:1 gear ratio and the last gear you would be in at the dragstrip.

I didn't realize this was an MR.

Good info for the forum.

Here's a log for a 3rd gear pull with my current tune. I haven't done any pulls in 4th yet, but I will later.

Looking pretty good there.

You can go into settings and disable the display of user1, egt and lambda if you want more resolution on the screen.

Thanks - I was trying to figure out how to do that!

The car is so much more drivable now, just flattening the power/torque curves has worked wonders. The temps are dropping here now and the humidity is going up so I'm looking forward to seeing what that'll do to my power. Will monitor peak boost closely to make sure I don't overboost.
