No thanks, not until we see how it behaves and treats our "special" master cylinders. WHy don't you throw it on the shop car and report the findings :heh:

I think it will be fine on stock master cylinders. It is not the torque rating nor the amount of discs that break the master cylinder, it is the clamping force of the pressure plate which requires excessive pedal effort... This is what damages the plastic master cylinder.

The EXEDY twin for EVO X does not appear to have excessive clamping force.

The ACT Extreme series of clutches do require a lot of clamping force which is why we do NOT use or endorse them. Our special model ACT HDTTP for Evo X has a much lower clamping force which has not broken ANY master cylinders ever that we are aware of.

The increase in torque holding capacity comes primarily from the disc composite material's friction coefficient and not from the additional clamping force holding it to the flywheel.

We are already using the ACT singledisc at this point before the EXEDY twin was available so we're in it with what we have for now.
