Well I installed the chip.. nice and easy. Fired the car up and let it idle for a few seconds and poof.. on comes the ASC maintenance message..
My MBC is still sitting on the counter, so after I finish with the boost gauge install, I think I will drive it for a bit and see what it does..
Hey.. look at the bright side... It starts and runs!
Will keep you posted as I go! Still trying to figure out where to put the vacume line for the Gauge..

Well ok that's the least of my problems now.. I need a new main wiring harness to replace the one I just drilled through.
*sigh*

Egads! Using a drill bit and manually drilling by hand through the outer trim on the main wire harness boot and using a snake wire to pull the hose through would have sufficed.
That's beat dude... does it start? :hmmmm2:

Well you know.. if you are going to mess up, go big or go home.
Nope, no start.. I repaired the harness temporarily, but the car is dead.. just the headlights work. The dealer is looking into a new harness for me..
You know I measured a few times before I made the hole, but i guess it's harder to be accurate from both sides of the firewall..
That was definately a first for me.

We typically take the wire through the fender and in through the door grommet. Sorry to hear of your predicament. :(

Hey compared to what some people have to suffer in thier lives this is no big deal.. The car will be repaired and all will be right again..
And I won't rack up any more mileage in the meantime!
I have so much stuff apart here that I am running out of cars to drive though..
