So I finally tried installing the chip today....first off I installed the boost controller. then I followed the step by step that they have in this section. After everything was installed, I double checked everything...then after I finally started up the car the RPMs started going crazy fluctuating from around 2k to 500 and feel like it was going to completely shut off....at first I thought i may have not properly clamped on the red/white wire but after taking it off and making sure it was OK I tried it again....same thing happened but the car just died.....What the hell did i do wrong :(

A vacuum leak? Remove the boost controller and put all vacuum lines back to stock. Tight all IC piping etc.
When you disconnected the lines from the boost solenoid did you leave the inlet for the intake uncapped/open? There are four connections on the boost solenoid and the two closest to the firewall connect to the intake pipe, either leave those connected or cap the inlet on the intake.

White with red stripe. Not red and white.
Those are two different wires with two different purposes.

That's what i meant White with red stripe.....or is there also a red with white stipe???? from what I saw on your install pic the wire that I used looked exactly the same. So after last night I ended up putting everything back to stock. After putting everything back to stock I took a ride on the car to see how it felt and I noticed that the RPM's seem to not be going past 4K  there are no warning lights, service engine light or anything else that may appear to be going wrong...Boost appears to be holding properly from what I can tell but when I tried to accelerate the RPM's past 4K it doesnt feel right :( I know the wire that I tapped is still intact appart from missing plastic shielding (I just covered it with some elec. tape) other that, I could not tell anything else was wrong. Could it be that i F*** up the rpm signal to the tach? or what could be causing this? I did try to disconnect the battery and reconnect it to see if that would help but it did not seem to help at all.

What you're describing really sounds like a vacuum leak. However, you normally wouldn't build boost unless the leak is after the connection for the gauge. Re-check all the lines connected to your boost solenoid.

So what's the upshot? Did you figure it out?

Yea i got it figured out. It was a combination of my stupidity and newbness :banghead:  The problem was that (like TTP said) i tapped into the wrong wire....I had the Red w/White stripe instead of the White w/Red stripe. I tried asking TTP what the red w/white wire does to make sure I didn't f*** up anything but they didn't know :noidea: Anyway...I've taken off my AEM intake because of what TTP mentioned in one of the threads about it, and now I'm running my Buschur catback, forge BC, and z-chip....Car definitely feels much stronger and pull much harder...I also haven't seen any ASC lights either .
